NICERFL - Content & Web Redesign
OBJECTIVE
Review and optimize the existing website content and layout to improve user experience, engagement, and alignment with the NICERFL mission. To do this, we:
Clarified messaging so visitors immediately understood the mission, the work, .
Sharpened calls to action so funders, partners, and educators knew exactly how to get involved.
Refined key content areas to make the site more strategic and aligned with NicerFL’s growth goals.
OVERVIEW
NicerFL had just been accepted into the Hello Neighbor network, an accomplishment that was going to bring a lot of traffic and exposure to their 8-year-old site. They needed updates and recommendations, and they needed them quickly.
The project was broken up into two separate phases: a redesign sprint to bring the website up to an MVP status and, once that was done, finetune the redesigned site.
IMPACT
Increased traffic to Donate & Volunteer pages by a combined total of 40% (tracked by click rates on added new CTAs, page visits, and number of volunteer applications submitted) over the course of the first month. We also noticed a jump in the amount of volunteers filling out the form.
We ran before and after usability tests to see how users did with the new format and content, and noticed that users were completing core tasks with greater ease: they found what they were looking for faster, and completed goals with fewer steps.
